JLG Forklift Parts - After retiring in the late 1960's, John L. Grove started on a cross country RV expedition. After spending many years establishing his family built crane business with his brother, John had no idea that this journey would bring about the rise of JLG Industries, Inc. The world leader of mobile aerial work platforms and precision material handling technologies was the end result of a road trip.

Whilst on their trip, John spent time talking to former business contacts whom the Groves stopped to see along the way. These conversations combined with a tragic event-two workers being electrocuted on scaffolding when the Groves were visiting Hoover Dam- John discovered a considerable market for a product that could quickly and safely elevate people in the air to accomplish upkeep and other building services.

After returning from their vacation, John set up a business with two of his friends and bought a metal fabrication business in McConnellsburg, Pennsylvania. Opening with a small crew of twenty workers, they fashioned and sold their first JLG aerial work platform in 1970. The company incorporates some of the basic design elements of that original lift into current designs.

Since then, JLG Forklifts have come a great distance from when Mr. John L. Grove returned from his fatefull cross-country trip and since the first JLG aerial platform entered the marketplace. As of today, the company has extended itself into a number of global marketplaces and continues to cultivate contemporary equipment to ensure that customers are able to become safer and more well-organized within their workplace.
